Pennsylvania law mandates that certain individuals who work or volunteer with children are required to obtain up to three clearances from State or Federal agencies, as follows:
- PA State Police Criminal Record Check
- PA Child Abuse History Clearance
- FBI Criminal Background Check: for volunteers who have lived in Pennsylvania for at least ten years, this FBI Affidavit of Compliance fulfills this requirements. For volunteers who have lived in Pennsylvania for fewer than ten years, an FBI background with fingerprinting is required.
SRA requires ALL current or prespective volunteers coaches to undergo the background checks in order to become eligible for volunteer opportunities. After you receive your clearances, we need to collect copies from you for our records.
