Player Evaluations for Winter 2024-25:

• Boys 2/3: Monday, November 11 at SRS, 6-8 pm
• Boys 4/5 (Commissioner Bob Miller): Tuesday, November 12 at SHMS, 7-9 pm
• Boys 6/7 (Commissioner Pat Jordan): Monday, November 11 at SHMS, 7-8:30 pm
• Boys 8/9 (Commissioner Bill Raymond): Wednesday, November 13 at SHMS, 7-8:30
• Girls 2/3 (Commissioner Kim Zajac): Thursday, November 14 at SRS 6-8 pm
• Girls 4/5 (Commissioner Ben Hall): Tuesday, November 12 at SRS, 6-8 pm
• Girls 6-8 (Commissioner Scott Hensley): Thursday, November 7 at SRS, 6-8 pm

Nether-Swarthmore Hoops Elementary Division for 2024-2025 are for female and non-binary players in grades 2-5 and male players in grades 2-5  We welcome players of all skill and ability levels in every division. 

The Elementary Division will have player evaluations in early November and begin practices the week of November 18th. All registered players will be placed on a team; evaluations are designed to form teams that are equally balanced by skill and age. 

Girls 4/5 and Boys 4/5 will have seven regular season games scheduled on Saturdays throughout the season, with at least one playoff game at the end of the season (which could be on Saturday or Sunday).

Girls 2/3 and Boys 2/3 will have six regular season games scheduled on Sundays throughout the season, with at least one playoff game at the end of the season (which could be on Saturday or Sunday). This will allow for several weeks of practice before the first game. Players in the 2/3 division play 4v4 format to increase the number of touches on the ball and to encourage good positioning on the court.

No games or practices will be held during WSSD Winter Break, the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday weekend, and Presidents’ Day holiday weekend.

EVALUATIONS: All players in grades 2-5 should attend evaluations which will be conducted by division commissioners and coaches. Dates will be posted in early November. Following evaluations, your player will be placed on a team and you will receive coach/practice/game information through Teamsnap.

UNIFORM: Each team will be assigned a color and players will receive a NS Hoops t-shirt to serve as their uniform for the season.

PRACTICES: Weekly beginning November 18, 2024. 

7 GAME WEEKENDS for 4/5: December 14/15, January 4/5, January 11/12, January 25/26, February 1/2, February 8/9, and February 22/23 with playoffs and championship games on March 1/2 and March 8/9.

6 GAME WEEKENDS for 2/3: January 4/5, January 11/12, January 25/26, February 1/2, February 8/9, and February 22/23 with playoffs and champions games on March 1/2 and March 8/9.

GYM LOCATIONS: SRS in Swarthmore & CADES Gym in Swarthmore
